Just got back form the dyno Its a 2.3 whipple gen 2, 2.8 RR pulley, 93 pump gas, on 17 degrees of timing. The temp out was around mid 80s. The car made 599 HP and 521 Torque. I was getting around 585 HP, and then on the last run we turned on the killer chiller and let it idle for about 10 min and then hit it and I ended up with my final numbers. All in all I'm pretty happy. Killer chiller is sweet, glad I spent the money on it.

You just missed 600! Nice numbers. You illustrated the value of the Killer Chiller.

Thanks, It read 599.1 HP at the end of the run. Guess I should have gave it another 5 min to cool down. He asked it I wanted to try again to get the 600 I said no reason to run it again just to get the 600 number on my dyno sheet. We will do that with E85 later LOL!!!

Some of the Ported Eaton TQ #'s Ive seen. How's the seat of the pants feel?

i too wondered about the low-ish TQ compared to other examples i've seen (my ported #'s)

is that normal for the 2.3 Whipples? i honestly don't know....

The boost is running around 18 pounds, the 3.0 pulley was only hitting 16ish, I do have long tube headers though. Not sure on the low torque but coming form a pullied eaton Its a blast. I don't think the 2.3 whipple is a big torque monster! Not sure if the lower timing has anything to do with it?

The numbers seem pretty spot on to me. I expected tq to be a little higher, like the 540ish range but I wouldn't say 521 is unheard of. Good numbers in my eyes!

I would have thought the boost might be alittle higher. When I had that 2.8 on my car I was hitting 18.5 PSI thats on a gen 1. The gen 2 is supposed to be 2 psi higher, so I would have thought between 19-20 psi with the LTs.

I thought the same thing. I was hitting 18 but I thought it would be higher, not that I want it any higher on pump gas but Like I said my 3.0 pulley only put 16 pounds out.

This worries me a bit. I just had a Gen 1 rebuilt and i have a 3.0 pulley i was hoping for 16lb with it.

Great results.

Wait until you swap it to E85 before losing any sleep at the TQ....spin it up to 22psi, let the tuner feed it that timing ethanol allows and then see what happens. My 2.3 whipple seems to have no problem making TQ at any rpm. Peaks at 680 wheel TQ

My gas tune at 17psi peaks about 550 TQ for comparison. 130 bump in wheel TQ is no joke from the gas tune. Feels like a totally different car running the corn.

What exhaust setup are you using? Too large a header could be causing some lose in TQ until you spin it up more.

As far as exhaust setup its Mac long tubes, Prochamber midpipe, and magnaflow catback.
