just installed my HBH adjustable shocks and i need help

Hey guys i just installed my adjustable hbh shocks and i have a few questions. Are they suppose to be stiffer than the stock shocks i thought they would be softer i adjusted both ways thinking maybe i was going the wrong way but they are still stiffer. My next question is i was missing a 1/2 of one of the bushings because they come 2 pieces so i tryed some rubber bushings they creek and make noise. Im gonna contact herman and find out what he thinks
