Well, I guess my luck just ran out ...

Blew up the engine when the serpentine belt failed on New Circle ...

Bent valves, timing "jumped", Cylinder heads over temperature, and a whole bunch of other stuff

Bottom line? $8,000 to replace it if FORD does it ...

CRAP !!!

Buy a shortblock or long block from VT Engines or some one comparable and have it installed. Last Lightning motor I did was around $8000 installed with forged internals. Ford remans are not forged except for pistons. You need better rods for what your doing. Marv Z

Damn!!! Sorry to hear that Cliff, time for a built block, heads and a KB or Whipple to top it off now :) How many miles did you have on her? Sounds like a timing chain died along with the serpentine belt to cause that damage.

lightning stock engines are not forged, at all, no pistons, or rods. All 5.4 cranks are forged, the Mustang depot on ebay can hook u up with rods and pistons for about $900, get patriot performance heads $1300-1500 and comp cams about 800-1000 with springs, build motor. Mine runs strong, great shop truck.

It is SOOOOO hard to find someone that can build MOD motors in my area ...

'Prolly gonna wait and get either a JLP Short Block or a PSP built motor.

Hey! I could put a Cobra "R" motor in it, huh? And Supercharge it !!! WOOT !!!
