We all take pride in our cars, thats why we have them and want to keep them looking great. My question is this.....

Everyone on here recommends this or that as far as the expensive stuff. I'm wondering that with so much emphasis on the "prep" how much of a difference will there be if you used something like Mother's 3 step or Meguiers, after a good polish with a porter.

Please enlighten!

Those dont really explain whats wrong with the "over the counter" waxes and polishes. Why does everyone push poorboys and such?

I use Meguiar's lol...I ask the same ? to...I have really thought about buying that Poorboy's EX-P for my white paint...

Actually they do because if you read and educate yourself then you will see what the difference is between OTC and premium products.

Its not so much about the product itself; so much as the proper application.

The main point of s polish and a PC is to REMOVE the swirls.

Meg's OTC 3-step will FILL a lot of them and appear VERY similar when first completed/applied...but won't last...because you only filled the swirls and didn't remove 'em when working by hand.
