Same scenario as the guy in Vegas that [shocker] almost died when he put his head inside a white Siberian tiger's mouth.
I find it incredulous that people are shocked that WILD animals are held responsible for doing WILD things.

PETA is a such a joke. Wasn't 10 mins after this happened they released a statement basically saying told you so...now put em back in the ocean.

I don't know why anyone is shocked that something with with "killer" in its name actually killed someone. It's kinda their thing.
I think this whale came from the Victoria Aquarium and killed someone there as well and that is why he was moved. The whole thing seems eerily familiar as I think I was staying with relatives there at the time.
My cousin told me about messing with sea lions when scuba diving (I was smart enough to keep my distance when diving). They know their limitations and they know yours. If you start to play, they will play and by the end of it you are totally screwed up in terms of where you are, you are physically hurt and and your reg has been ripped from your mouth multiple times (My cousin is an idiot at times).
I can only imagine what would happen if a Whale wanted to "play" or actually want to hurt you.

Its crazy it happened.. But on all 3 accounts.. none of the people have been eaten.. The whales are most likely playing around some of the time.. Just not the best thing in the world when a 7,000 lb animal wants to play with you under water..

Id like to see the video, who knows, maybe the whale's intentions were good and thought the trainer was in harms way and was trying to revive it (like idiot humans do when their baby stops breathing and shakes it.....), then again, maybe the whale was just sick of people ****ing around in his tank.

that is true but since i live here i know the stories
1st kill was a trainer when the orca was at the seaworld in san diego it kept pushing the trainor back down under water and they drowned.
2nd kill a moron that just got out of prison broke into the park at night and went swimming with it, the whale drowned him and tore of his baathing suit supposdly but everyone says the wackjob went skinny dipping with
3rd kill today the trainer slipped and fell in the water and the whale grabbed her hair and drowned her. people think when they hear this that the whale bit them in half or something when really it is playing with them in a rough/horrible way......there name isn't killer whale for no reason. I personally think its stupid, would you go play with a somewhat trained polar bear?
i think i'll stick to cats and dogs atleast they are smaller than humans and you can kill them with your bare hands if they try to kill you

MAN FOUND DEAD IN ORCA WHALE TANK
We were saddened to hear this morning that the staff at SeaWorld in Orlando, Florida, found a dead man draped over the back of a captive orca
whale called Tillicum.
Apparently the man had spent the night inside SeaWorld and had jumped into one of the orca display tanks where Tillicum is kept alone. Tillicum is not allowed to interact with the other seven orcas held in that facility, and has been kept in solitary confinement since he was sold to SeaWorld in January 1992.
After being captured off Iceland's coast in October 1983, Tillicum was shipped to the now defunct Sealand of Victoria, a facility which closed shortly after the death of orca trainer Keltie Byrnes in 1991. During what became the last whale show at Sealand, Keltie slipped into the orca tank and could not be saved. Tillicum was one of the four whales involved in drowning the trainer.
The four Sealand whales were then sold to SeaWorld, where the trainers routinely ride orca whales and the public is encouraged to swim, pet and feed these wild animals kept in captivity for profit and entertainment.
We blame the aquarium industry for the senseless and tragic death of the Florida man. We urge the Vancouver Aquarium to stop its Swim-With-The Whales Program, which mis-educates the public into believing that wild whales are "pets" when kept in captivity. According to the law, captive whales are wild animals even if born in captivity, and should be treated as such.

its a flippin whale that kills and eats sea lions, penguins, seals etc.....that is how it has the name KILLER WHALE!!!!
every here in orlando is sadened by this outcome from today but atleast it has gotten the stupid anthony girl off the dang news for once! all we ever here about down here is stupid casey anthony every freaking day and we have had enough of her and her baby killer ways! they need to just do one big slaughter day for all the wackjobs who are getting put too death instead of letting them live in captivity, kinda like how they need to release this whale back into the wild but it will most likely stay and not be released so that way it will "play" with the trainors more and the death toll will keep climbing...

i live in orlando, i feel bad that she was pulled by hair and drowned by a 12,000lb whale. its a horrible thing.
she was only 40 and had been working as a trianer there for 17 years.
