Here's what I've been doing:

Hold it around 1500-1700rpm.
Baby it off the line.
Ease into the gas until about 3000rpm.
By 4000rpm I'm WOT for the rest of 1st gear.

Partial-lift on the 1st to 2nd shift.
Get back to WOT asap.

Powershift 2nd to 3rd.

Powershift 3rd to 4th.

That seems to max ET and trap speed for me. Does well for street encounters also. ;-)

Anyone else?

Same thing, except that:

1. I have to ease through 2nd or all hell breaks loose.
2. I speed-shift.

What would you call a speed shift? As opposed to a power shift?

From what I typed it looks like I mash the throttle as soon as I'm in 2nd. Thats not exactly true. If I do that I'll sit n spin too.

I feed in the throttle as soon as possible, but since it seems to be different everytime, I can't quantify it, so I just put "asap" up there.

Sorry for the confusion.
