Compression? Power seems lower than what I'd imagine being a 5.4 with twins on 18psi through a 6-speed. Any dyno graphs?
Also, if that's your girl in the first picture.........:burn::burn:hate you

-9.2/1 Kellogg crank, manly rods/pistons
-arp studs, gaskets,
-mildly improved stock 03 cobra heads and cams, valves, etc.
-canton 7 qt, catch can/drain back
-dual in/out twin oval 4" inlet cold side with 65* iats after an hour of dyno tuning. Hit 70* iats after 2 hours.
-2.5" down (horribly too small)
-twin 57/48's (terribly small hotside)
-920wtq but the hotside's and 2.5" turbo back choke it to 885whp.

It's the 48mm hot sides on the 57's that are holding it back coupled with the puny 2.5" down pipes. It'll pick 150whp+ with the 61/60's and 3-3.25" turbo back we're planning to do in 2-3 months. It made 860whp on 16psi and 91 octane (4500ft altitude, no 93 octane either hurts).

It's so torquy now that I'm running a 3.08 rear and 28" tall drag radials. I have viper 5th/6ths and it pulls adequately from 1400rpms at 50-80 in either overdrive. (.74,.50) On the dyno we have to ramp into power in 4th around 3500rpms because if we just hit it wot rom 2000rpms, it's spins around 3200 when it pulls 18psi and messes up the pull. In other words it makes much more low end torque than the pulls show, the na mill made 400+whp at 1900rpms till about 4500 then tapered off slightly till redline.

The cool thing is it makes 850-885 from 4800 or so till well past 6500 so it's kinda easy to pull on stringy powerband cars like 950whp supra's that only hit it 200rpms before redline but fall to 750whp every time they shift gears.

With the 3.08 it goes from 50-100 just in 2nd from around 3800rpms till 6800 or so and it's just like 50-80-100 kinda instantly, it's hard to explain.

I'm hoping the 61/60's still have flat plateau power from 5400-6500+ because I love staying in 3rd and going 100-140 in 3rd. I might go 60/58's if I have to to keep that rev range

It was tuned with 3.55's though so it'll lose 10-15whp in the read out now vs these numbers but its just the mechanical maths, not really an actual change.

It's also picked up about 30whp since these pulls because we added a boost-a spark, fuel pump voltage regulator to keep fuel colder on non wot duty cycles, swapped the dying mafia for a ba3000, and changed the plugs/gap, and did an oil change plus an all new dyno tune because of the ba3000 maf.

The boost-a-spark cleaned up the top end dramatically and the ba3000 is much easier to work with than my dying mafia. I'm running a Sullivan short runner intake so the top end peaks now a bit higher than it used to but we gained power through the entire graph from 3,000 up. I'll get an upload of those graphs in soon enough, were still adjusting the new tune so it might make more power. Currently at 915whp now.

I know how it goes with a wide horsepower band. I have 2.5" downpipes on my car and it keeps horsepower fairly flat from about 5000-6500. I want to go with 3.0" downpipes or cutouts to see if it changes that.

Cutouts will gain you a good bit if you're running all the way through a catback with mufflers right now, it will also help spool a little.

A 3" kit will help peak numbers decidedly on my my build as its a 5.4, if you have the 4.6, it should still help a good bit especially on high boost, mine literally is choking the motor where I believe the 2.5" is about idle for the 4.6 up to about 850whp. I could be wrong though, I'm sure it couldn't hurt to try a 3" kit, it might bump your power as much as 30-60whp if its turbo back, very smooth, and dumps out of some e cutouts or turndowns/side exhaust. Good luck!

I am running the exhaust all the way out the back, through straight-thru mufflers. I also want the cutouts because open turbos sounds badass. I also figure if cars around this horsepower figure (non-turbo cars for instance) are seeing horsepower gains from going 2.5 to 3, then why wouldn't I? Installing cutouts is definitely a much easier route then getting a whole new exhaust fabbed up.

For sure on all accounts man, that should be beast. If you wanna get an idea of the difference that cut outs make vs muffled, check out my YouTube channel

Issacnewton9009

I also have a video racing a nitrous gt on the channel schecterkid15, if you check that video out be sure to check out the description and the comments because it was not my race to win haha, but powershifts and altitude helped out a good bit haha. (I didn't have 3rd, had vacuum leaks, and minor issues so I ran on 6-8psi haha)

The cutouts sound great in car and out of car, those vids should give you a great idea. The cutout is about $400 but its chambered and smoothly bent so it keeps back flow good and cleans up the rasp of straight piping.

Cheers.

Well......you win. Lol, absolutely sick, I've been following your build thread on YB! Would love to have your setup, oh and, can you get me on YB!???? Stupid registration is closed.

Just noticed the reply. Thanks for the props. If you'll send me your contact info, I'll try to get a buddy of mine who's a mod on YB to get you on there.
