Locked sct tuner, worth anything?

I know it has to be sent in to be unlocked but is it worth selling to someone else? I no longer have a use for it.

you can check engine codes with it so it still has some use.

That's one thing I was curious about since it is vin locked. May just hold onto it for that purpose. Thanks

i would call sct and ask on getting it redone..and ask if they return to original owner after,,,

i have an escort rader detector,,they return to original owner being they get stolen alot,

it can be used as said already as a scanner for codes..you can still datalog,,and you can reset pcm...


something to look into..sct update?

i have an older predator...they now have an update,,but it will take away options ..i wonder if an update would unlock it ,if i was in your shoes

Cost 150$ to unlock + freight in/out so overall i will cost around 200$ .

if it can be used on yours with the changes already made to your pcm i would have it unlocked..

no sure what a used unlocked sct goes for...i had gotten a preadator for 100 unlocked..

but my needs were small for handheld as to turning off shift light,gear change for speed, ,than use to read codes...i did install performance tune for stock pulley

If you do want to get rid of it, let me know. I have a friend that needs one and he can send it to SCT to be unlocked.
