Not by a lot, maybe a car or so. These newer bikes are insanely fast. I don't have any problems beating anything 08 or older. I had to take off in 3rd gear at around 60 which gave him a little advantage (couldn't take off in 2nd because I had the 315 sumitomos on the back...yuck!) I did have a girl in the car, but she couldn't have weighed more than 120. This is on 21 pounds making about 650-700rwhp through a 4R70W auto. I guess after two years at 21 pounds it's time to slap on the 26 pound pulley ;) Sorry no vid :( Any turbo guys running these things down on the highway?

its ok man, must have been pretty brutal after the race turning your radio on and letting your ice-cold ac hit your face.

New bikes are fast. It's not a bad race to lose. You did well all things considered.

Automatics lie on dyno's, if alls as it should be options and perameters wise, ur probably putting about 750-800whp in reality, I bet the tq converter was slippn a bit. I didn't check ur mods list though so I can't say but 140 mph with 3350lbs is 775whp territory depending on gears/tire/etc. Also, altitude is a huge factor when racing liter bikes. Up here in slc, a liter bike can be yanked in with 650whp non corrected turbo cars. They usually run 10.6-11.3 @ 125-135 up here depending on the year.

Good death all the new bikes are fast as shit from the factory. A friend of mine is trapping 137mph on a 600RR. I would assume a well driven R1 would best 140mph+ with ease.

Actually what's sad is the cross plane R1 (2009-11) is fairly quick and good on the track but in the hp and all out acceleration, it falls behind the others like the CBR and Gixxer 1000..........and don't even attempt the ZX10 and especially the BMW S1000RR.............it's gone thru the 1/4 at 153 mph + !!!

They are fast!!
