When you do it, post a clip because I've been curious about doing the same thing to mine. When I got mine it had the Magnapacks installed on it rather than the regular mufflers that come with the kit. I love the exhaust now, but I like to change it up sometimes and the Macs are what I've been thinking about doing for several months.

I honestly can't imagine them sounding any different on Magnaflow piping vs. the pipes that come with Macs kit, so I doubt you'd notice a difference in sound.

How does it sound? I have been wanting to put the magna packs on mine instead of the magnaflow muffler.

I had This setup BBK longtubes BBK O/R X-pipe MAC mufflers welded into a Magnaflow cat-back. Loved how it sounded. Still have it sitting in my basement. Only took off cause I went turbo.

I have SLP LM2s put into my magnaflow catback. I originally just clamped them in but they leaked a little so I had them welded and have been mint ever since.

Well you sold me after watching the video. Ordered a set of magnapacks to replace my magnaflow mufflers. Mine has high flow cats tho so i bet mine will have a lil different tone

It'll be a little deeper with cats for sure. I have catted MRT H-pipe too and it pretty much sounds the same as the O/R X, just a little deeper tone at idle.

My car had stock h and magnapack catback. I wanted something with a little more aggressive and less loud, so I had the magnapacks cut out and put in stainless flowpaths. I like it :)

If ur curious here is a vid with stock H, Magnaflow catback, and flowpaths. (B-heads): MAC Flowpath Exhaust (1996 Mustang Cobra) - YouTube

this is after 03 swap with JBA shorty and stock H: TPS Motorsports: Darrell's 4v Built / Kenne Bell 96' Cobra(part 2: DYNO) - YouTube

Those are the correct ones for our IRS specific exhaust, but I would call them if you're going to order from them. That way you find out if they're in stock or have to be made and you'll know for sure how long it'll take to get them.

I put my MRT catted H back on this weekend and took a video of it today. Thought you might be interested, since you bought the Magnapacks.

Hey guys, I got my mac mufflers yesterday and swapped them into my SLP tubing. A little different fitment wise I'm sure but they bolted right in with an extra connector on each side. Should sound about the same though.

I totally understand. For the price of one stainless you almost get the two aluminized. I figure it really won't matter. The exhaust will live a long time, especially for you in Cali.

You know, this IS a really good point. The last dual exhaust setup I had installed on my last truck was cheap chit (probably similar to alumized exhausts). The truck was a DD in rain, snow, salt, mud, etc. and it lasted 100k miles before it rusted off. But, it was higher up vs. a car so if your car is a DD then it might not last quite as long...just speculating.

I have an aluminized X pipe and stainless CB but my car doesn't see daily use or rain. With that said, my A/C drips onto the X and is already creating rust on the weld with maybe 8k on it. I went with aluminized X b/c you really don't see it so why pay the extra money for SS on that piece. Had I known, I might have bought the SS X pipe, but a shot of prime will do just fine for now. Food for thought.
