Mach 1 vs S197 GT

I was heading home from work tonight and passed a red S197 GT and he immediately pulled up next to me. I downshifted to 2nd and proceeded to do the 3 honk from 50. I don't know anything about the car but he appeared to be downshifting as well so I'm guessing he had a manual. Anyway we took off and I wrapped out 2nd and had a half of a car by the end of 2nd. Shifted to third and before I finished it I could see both sets of lights in the rear view. I shifted to 4th and let out around 100 maybe a little over I wasn't paying attention. I ended up around 2 cars ahead. Not bad for having 200lbs of sand in the trunk.

A CAI tuned both would be a neck and neck race IMO. Those S197s wake up with that little bit.

I still prefer a mach, but I love me a white GT/CS.

Where are you located in Illinois? There are a handful in the Quad Cities area including myself.

ive seen them run anywhere from 13.5 to 14.3....depends on the driver..and if its on dr's or not. I'd say most are in the high 13 second range
