how close are the performance factors comparing Mark VIII heads and 96-98 cobra heads...

The castings are the same, the components are what are different

yeah i have 98 cobra cams and some Manley Nextek 221434-32 springs. Im planning on SS valves also. do i need to change the guides also...guess seats while im in there huh. Ive read the intake runners and chamber are pretty good. but the exhaust side needs work. anyone have input on that? maybe just get a buffing wheel and polish everything...i dont know..

Whatever you do don't port the intake ports, they are already huge from the factory. Work on the exhaust port, that can use a little bit of porting and cleaning.
