Had a KX400 back in the day. I'm "only" 5'9" so I had to be on a stump or something to mount and start it. I swear my arms are longer to this day from that death machine. What a ride.
Congrats on the 500, I bet it'll be fun as hell.

Had to stop riding on 2 wheels! Kicking my ass! Sore for 3 days after rides! Haha love the sound of 500!
Bum....bum, bum, bum......bum....bum. Reminds me of a cammed big block; meets a 2-stroke!

Now I stick to 3 or 4 wheels

Yes, it does not 'appear stock'. That's got to be a monster. I'm 62, ridden most of my life and I'd prolly hurt myself just starting it, much less riding it.
It is not stock. It's a cr500 engine stuffed in an aluminum frame, hence the "af" moniker.

500s never came from the factory in an aluminum frame. They were steel.

They're built by service Honda.

Nice bike! I've had the itch lately for some two wheel fun, but I just keep telling myself I'm too old for a good wreck!

MOTHER OF GOD! So I finally made it up to Michigan and saw my bike in person! Made a few mods to the bike for a prank I'm pulling on my old riding buddies who don't know I bought this bike. I converted it to an Uncle Ron Screaming Eagle.

Got a chance to rip it around my friends property for the first time and I damn near pissed my pants! Way too much for trail riding without a couple more mods. Heavier flywheel and hydraulic clutch for starters....

More to come... if I survive another ride. :ROFLMAO:
