Metal tag hanging in front of rad?

While installing my H/E tonight I found a strange thin piece of sheet metal hanging by wire in front of the radiator. I never noticed the wire before until I started poking around with the stock H/E removed. It appears to be faded red or burgundy held with a red wire from the rad support bracket.

Any thoughts?

Not sure what it is, technically speaking, but the last time I replaced my radiator I got rid of it. Also had it hanging on mine.

mine has it and i think its used on the assembly line to let them know what color your car will be
