MGW Installed/First Impression

Great piece of hardware. Had to change the syncros (and oil ) after only a couple of thousand km. Installed the MGW, changed the car completely, no problems with 7000rpm changes in any gear. Need to tweak my reverse a little as its very stiff. I should have changed the shfter and the oil when I got the car, would have saved a bundle. Was seriously thinking of putting in a tremec, but see no need so far.

I just got my boss in December would I have the new gear oil or do I need to check during my first service

I haven't changed the oil in my 2013, #1121, it shifts great even in cold weather. I would assume your car is later production than mine

It's in only got to drive it for a few minutes tonight and it felt amazingly short and direct unfortunately with the cold the boss rubber felt really hard as if the car was on ice skates
