Well I have searched and can't find anything. Well I had a shop put a new clutch in a few weeks ago and they took apart my mgw shifter. I asked them not to but they did it any ways. So when I got the car back the shifter was all lose and not tight like it was. It just flops around. I ordered new springs for it and I'm trying to figure out how to put it back together. If any one know how to can you please shed some light on it. It's the best shifter out there I think.

Take it to them and demand they buy you a new one. There is literally no reason to take the thing apart, you unbolt it with 4 bolts and remove it. Not sure how retarded a shop would have to be to take the whole thing apart but a shop that stupid I wouldn't trust to have not ****ed up the clutch install as well... I'd be irate if I were you TBTH.

Definitely discuss this with the shop. Why would they take apart the shifter to begin with? Make no sense. If they did, and it was not authorized, they should be libel for it IMO.
