Reading this thread made me glad that I went with the MGW. :dancenana:

I called MGW before I ordered and they gave me an estimated time of when it should be done, although the main reason I called is because I am pretty close to Augusta so I am going to pick it up. I wouldn't mind waiting if it is even half as good as I have heard.

I am sure the Barton is a good shifter too, a good deal of people on here use them.

Just ordered mine too. (MGW)

I tried to explain the problem with the OEM shifter to a buddy of mine. It's odd because it FEELS precise and snicks into gears when sitting still, but when you start driving and shifting with any sort of authority, the pattern gets so vague and inconsistent.

Can't wait to install this thing and try it out.

Mgw
Because I put it on every car I owned after I tried before and after on my brothers gto
He had bm and hurst but later got mgw
I put one in my cobra it's so so great
I never had an issue with the factory one
But mgw is always great not one issue
He has one on his c5z it's an amazing feel
You can shift much quicker anyways and easier for dd

If you're interested, MGW will install it for free.

They told me on the phone that they do installs but I don't remember if they mentioned it was free. I will definitely take advantage of that. Save on shipping plus free install? Can't beat that.

Installing a shifter is extremely easily
It's more satisfaction installing it yourself
It's plug and play
Easier than changing the tires

I installed mine on Monday and love it.....tightens everything up and improves the shifting experience 100%.

No regrets at all and the product, packaging and install video are first class.

I got my 2014 revised MGW shifter yesterday. I have owned the other model on a separate car and all I can say is WOW!

Thanks everyone for the input. It looks like the MGW wins... by a landslide. Now it's time to place my order.

I've been a huge supporter of the Barton, it's a great piece, but I believe I'm gonna sell it and try the mgw

Good decision, it really improves after ~1500 miles. I always rowed through the gear pattern 4-5 times while warming it up to get it loose.

We're actually working with MGW right now for an optional upgrade to their 2014 revision that will make the shifts even better. Should cost less than $30 for those with the 2014 lower box.

Any update/info on this??

My stocker feels like a stick in a bucket of rocks, it's getting rather annoying, I'll have to look into this.
