Look very nice indeed! I do prefer the TF hood vents though.

Nice, looks great. I bought a set of modded factory vents but someone did a crappy paint job on them. Have any of you painted yours? If so what did you use?

Looks mint OP. When I did mine I only cut out every other one. I kind of like your style better.

Are yall getting rid of the flap underneath totally or leaving it there? OP are you noticing any differences in temps or are you just doing it for looks?
Thanks,

Thanks,

I couldn't answer your question about temps because its off the road for the winter. I was bored and wanted to try some free mods. Lol. Removing the hood blanket and flaps should help lower temps but currently I can't give you any first hand experience until I drive it.

+1 i did mine and I think they look like crap cause I couldn't sand it real smooth.

You need to sand it close as you can with 220 grit. Then spray it with primer. then do multiple wet sanding sessions with 400 grit. Wet sand, dry & reprime. Do it as many times as it takes. The primer will fill in the gashes and groves.

A pic between priming sessions. It had just been wet sanded. Wrapped the sand paper around some flat bar to make sure I was applying even pressure.

Thanks..I may just keep my flaps on, but keep them opened up since I daily the car ..so if I get caught in rain, I can close them back up...not sure if that matters or not though.
Thanks,

Thanks,

If you have a RAI intake without a heat shield over it your air filter will get wet when it rains or when you wash the car. I used to bend a piece of cardboard over my filter when I washed the car. My car wasn't a daily and it hardly rains in Vegas.
