That gives the mustang owner a reason to get rid of that ugly Roush front bumper, GTR drove like a Boss

Yep that sucks. the only downside to having a racetrack as a toll road. Of course it is one downside compared to a plethora of upsides! haha and as stated the GTR did a great job of getting around it. I wish I could have seen the drivers face when the car told him "sit back and let me take care of it." haha

They don't call it the Green Hell for nothing.

That situation is particularly treacherous - a single dry line and no runoff room. Get a little off course, and you lose traction right when you need it most.
