I'm hoping that this might find its way to the owner of the Coyote GT I ran today in my black C5Z. He was in a small pack of about 4 Stangs and his was red. Sounded and looked great. Don't know too much else about this particular car other than he was behind a grayish GT with plate that said 4VCHICK I think. Anyway, on to the race. We started in 2nd gear (not sure on speed) and we hit it. We were dead nuts then he shifted into 3rd a bit sooner than I did (assuming he has 3.73s) which allowed me to inch up on him a bit until I shifted into third then he came back on me. Third was dead nuts as well until he shifted again. I was able to pull about a 1/4 car more ahead until I banged the limiter in third and we let out. Wouldn't say I won or he lost but it was a damn good race. Definitely a driver's race for sure. If I had to guess, he was at the very least a full bolt on car. It was LOUD. My Vette is a cam/exhaust C5Z. It still has factory stock intake on it. Just headers, cats, exhaust and a cam. I only wish we could have had a little more open road to really find out who was faster.
*************UPDATE****************
So I found the guy and he's a '13 5.0 with a 2.9 Whipple with full exhaust and bolt ons. This makes me so proud of my light weight GM hammer. Over 100 whp disadvantage and able to hang. It wasn't driver related either because he banged gears with the best of them. Only thing I think that handicapped his car was the heat I would have to say.
