My 2011 SMS302 Mustang by Steve Saleen has 624 HP now

put the SMS/FRPP Whipple Blower on my car this week. LOVE IT! 624HP 9lbs if boost. Ford Racing teamed with Whipple and Roush did an amazing job creating this blower and tuning for it. 50 state certified.

With all the drag racing I did with my 10 second 07 Saleen Supercharged Mustang ....I have no plans on drag racing this one.

But I will say...this one is making more power and is faster than that 07 I had. Scary fast.....

Looks great, did it dyno 624 HP or is that the estimated number SMS puts on the package. Do they put forged internals in the motor to handle the 9 psi of boost ?

Thanks man.....SMS advertises 575hp for this highest end Black Label .....the middle range yellow label is 525hp but does not have the full body package..more toned down...and then the cheapest model..the white label at 440hp naturally aspirated. Prices 35k 47k 60k

The 624hp on mine is because I opted for the FRPP 624HP. The same setup that Shelby uses on his new GT350 highend one. This setup on my car ranges in tbe 530 to 540 rwhp range. Its the same blower SMS uses. 50 state certified by Whipple and Ford Racing.

No prob...forgot to say...the 5.0/302 is internally untouched by SMS.

My impressions of this 624hp setup so far:

Guys.....this car is crazy fast! You know...the eyeballs getting sucked to the back of your head fast!

Definitely more powerful and faster than my 10 second 1/4 mile 07 GT .

You do not hear this supercharger at all. Maybe out front you do. And the insane power is there from 2000-7000 rpms. Never stops pulling. And the blower stays so cool to touch after playing around...come home, pop the hood...cool as can be.

Im Very Impressed with this Whipple/Ford Racing Supercharger setup. And this ...matched with my new SMS Supercars 302 Mustang... is pure automotive sex on wheels
