My friends 55 Chevy gasser

this is not my car, its my friends. we've been building this car for the past 5 or 6 years. its been a long road, we're not fully there, but almost. its got a 396 with an m 21, 4 speed and 9 inch. its got like 12:1 compression, but and makes somewhere around 400 hp. we took it to the track today, it went 13.3 at 105, but like I said we're working out the bugs.

unknown cam specs, its a solid lifter non roller. the heads are cast iron, and i honestly dont know which they are.

its a used motor that he bought on a tight budget just so it had a motor. its nothing special. he wants to put a 409 in it eventually

nothing wrong with a 396 though, with the rights heads/cam/carb/tuning combo it would be a stout motor

There was three cars used for the filming of Two Lane Black top, two of which were later used for American Graffiti and one was destroyed. One survives as a restoration of the two lane car and the other is dressed up in graffiti trim.
