PRO-5.0 went in today. Two concerns:

1. What are the repercussions of *not* applying high temp silicone sealer on all the edges of the transmission before bolting shifter down?

2. Stop bolts gapped properly for 1st and 2nd gear. But shifter stick on all other gears hit stop bolt. PRO-5.0 install instructions mention that shifter stick should not hit stop bolts in any gear. What are the repercussions?

1. You might get a leak even though there's not lots of fluid up there, a mist does develop and could settle and cause a leak.

2. If you don't allow the trans to fully engage in gear it'll pop out of gear. Adjust the stop bolts to allow full engagement in all gears.

I'll second both of those answers.

The last thing you want is improper stop bolt adjustment.

Not only will it pop out of gear, it may also grind in from time to time.

The T-56 has internal stop bolts as well, so the positive stops for the Pro 5.0 on this tranny are not as crucial as they are on say a T 45.

Just back them out and test 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th.
