2010 Chevrolet Colorado ZQ8 Extended Cab in Steel Green Metalic. 5.3L V-8. 300 BHP, 320 lb tq. Weighs in at 3800 lbs. Just a shade over a Terminator Coupe to give you an idea of performance. Hopefully I can do some modding to get those numbers to the Rear Wheels. Apparently there is quite a bit left on the table. Just needs a tune. Fun little truck though. Only wish this model came in a manual 5 or 6 speed. Only can get a 4 speed auto with this particular configuration.

Ill never understand why no car company offers their top tier engine in a regular cab shortbox 2WD configuration. I had to swap an engine in to my truck to do it.

Very nice! I always hoped Chevy would put a V8 in that truck.

I agree with Jason, there should be more RCSB + Big V8 trucks. Toyota and Dodge are the only ones who offer the biggest engine in the smallest body without forcing you to get a stripped down work truck.

I have been looking at these trucks too, always liked the xtreme colorados. Wish they came with at least the 6spd auto that the full size trucks use with the 5.3

Congrats man, I've got a 2006 CC 3.5 with the Z71 suspension. They're great little trucks, I've got just under 100,000 on mine and I've done nothing but change the oil. If you have any questions about it, go to Chevrolet Colorado & GMC Canyon Message Board (GMT 355 Twins), lot of tech savvy people over there.

It's not Cobra performance, but its putting about 240-260 to the ground weighing about 300-400 pounds over a 99-04 GT. So 30+ rwhp and 300 pound deficent, it's not amazingly fast, but it'll do good for what it is. Mine with the 3.5 and stock stayed on the bumper of my friends chipped, exhaust and geared 4.8 SCSB Silverado.

Thats a nice little truck there. You need to find some Dakota R/T 's to beat up on. Congrats.

Wow I didn't know chevy put a V8 in the colorado.

Yep started in '09 I believe. I'm surprised they kept the weight down like that though, he only weighs <100 lbs more than me and he's got another 1.8 liters of displacement.

Minus the fact that the 6.2 isnt available,

Even this little 5.3 is severly electronically reigned in..especially at low speeds. it's rated at
300 hp (5 less than a '98 Z28 LS1 5.7) in 5.3 form on 87 octane.
The fact that an LSx based engine is avaible at all infuses great potential for a real sleeper. This engine is available in plain wrapper (16" wheels etc) form.
The engine is a motor change away from any displacement of LS motor in exsistence.
