Mystichrome Roll Bar anyone?

Just wanted to show off my progress of the Maximum Motorsports 6-Point cage I'm currently installing. This install, though it seemed straight forward, has kinda been a pain. The kit is very well constructed, and the fit is spot on...but the instructons are a little lacking. More on that another time. Anyways, anyone with a Mystichrome Cobra should appreciate this. The paint isn't actually G6, but it is close enough for no one to notice. It only shifts from teal to blue to purple... No green flop. I actually purchased it from Lowes. Its a Rustolem brand shift paint. Oh, and I still have to clear it. What do you guys think?

Fresh out of the wrapping.

Polished it for the hell of it. I almost left it this way...

Etching primer.

Black base coat.

First coat.

Now it's ready for a little light sanding and clear coat!

Yes. We did that before and paint. Drilling the holes is a real pain, no of them lined up right after welding. I guess something got tweaked before we welded the rear support braces. We will make it work though.

I like it. I have been considering putting one in mine and painting it like that but damn that is a lot of cutting on the car ... and that is what I don't like about it

well it's still reinforcing the entire thing in a shell style..

so you're cutting put enhancing the rigidity overal.

I fully understand that. I am just not into cutting my car up like that at this point in time LOL! won't be racing it enough to justifiy the chopping.

Love it OP mine is painted Redfire to match my car and more people think it came like that stock than notice it as being an add-on.

Looks absolutely sick! Did you paint it with a rattle can? Was getting the paint a pain? The finished product is going to be nasty.
