Need a little advice....

I have a 02 R6 with 16k miles in excellent shape. I got a trade offer for a 99 Cobra that my buddy sold to a guy. The bad part is he ran it dry on oil and that resulted in a cracked block, 2 bent rods, amd ruined the crank. I would love to fix the car and maybe resell or keep to drive but I don't know if it will be worth it. If I trade my R6, I will only have $3000 in the car. Do you think its worth trading for?

A complete used motor is more than im wanting to pay($4500ish). If I could find a complete bottom end for cheap then it would be worth it. My buddy had jus put a new 50k mile motor in it before he sold it, then this guy ran it dry on oil. lol :shrug:
