Well hello my fellow SHO people, long time I know but Im back. And I need some help from my fellow SHO-Nuts. I donated my 94
ATX SHO to a friend in Ohio, he's doing big things with it right now.

I have the opportunity to invest in a gen3 model SHO for a great price. The body and the interior are beautiful, but the car doesn't start. With all the talk of the recent cam problems with this car, is there any specific thing I should be looking for? I really dont know too much about the gen3 SHO, or should I get my hands on a gen2 mtx.

Holla back , let me know.

O.K. I Feel you, now I heard a rumor that you can use a 3.2liter
found in a ATX SHO and replace the tranny with a MTX is there
any truth to that. And if so I wonder how fast it would be, would there be any difference at all?

Other way around, you can replace the 3.0L with the 3.2L but there are a few 'tweakings' that need to be done with it. the difference is the added torque you get.

It has the same HP, but more torque due to the bigger bore. And the MTX extracts that extra bit of power very nicely.

the 3.2L has 215ftlbs vs the 3.0L 200. the torque is down lower on the 3.2 due to the slush box being attacked

Zoltan, as always my reply to that your comment is my ATX was undefeated against MTXs ;-)

I have a pic of mine and Mark W(1992blackmtx) off the forum side by side. It's on my other computer, if you really want I'll dig it up. He lives about 10 min. away from me. Our 2 SHO's are 2 of 3 black Gen 2's in the area

Yes, have the sprocket welded to the cam. FPS in Atlanta are doing them. If you don't live near them call them and they might give you instructions on how to do it.
