Well, that's some decent news. You fell into that 0.1% that I was talking about.
I would suggest that you take it easy on the trip back (I'm sure you will). Once you get back, go ahead and see about getting an insert at least into that one plug hole. I would check into that one link I posted, you may want to call them for more info. I've never done the thread repair myself. Maybe you can find someone back home that can help you out.

hate to hijack
I'm having a similar type of problem as KyLightning02. When I push the truck I get a odor of gas in the cab and I can smell it when I'm around it. The thing is that unlike KyL02s problem the truck doesn't shake at all nor did I hear a Pop when driving it.
