Backstory..heard alot of noise coming from blower. Replaced front coupler. Noise was still there. So i pulled blower off,and found 1 of the rear needle bearings completely destroyed. Order the bearings to replace them.,and so these rear needle bearings wont come out. Ive tried freezing method, tried using a 3-leg bearing puller, and a slaptool. Ive never encountered bearings so difficult to remove. The crank pulley has nothing on these!!!! Im trying to get any help or advise from those who have removed them,or know what machine i need to use,im completely out of ideas. Im at the point almost where i just buy used eaton, and saying F'it. Thanks for any help

Are you able to get the slide hammer and 3 jaw tool to actually hook onto the bearings? If that does work you're pretty much SOL short of machining the bearings out of the case.

Jon Bond Performance in Iowa has tooling available for removing and replacing the needle bearings that he rents or used to rent. He has a video on youtube showing the procedures.

Thanks. Finally got them out. I would buy a good condition used eaton,or send it out for rebuild if i had known better. Anyone seeing this, its not worth your time. Send it to be rebuilt.
