Alright, I'm 6'-3+" tall. I have my driver seat all the way back. I'm comfortable, but 5th gear is WAAAAYYY out there. I'm looking to get a shifter that either has a shorter throw to all gears, or a handle that will bring 5th to me. Now, I want an aftermarket one because the stock one is too vague and soft. I've had a Tri-Ax in a GT before and it was okay. I've heard good things about the Pro 5.0 but it seems everyone has to put a different handle on it. I'm not really asking what your favorite is, I'm asking under my situation, which shifter would work best for me? I'm leaning toward the Tri-Ax again, but thought I'd throw this out there just in case.

6'2" here and the Tri-Ax alone will make it worse (shorter handle than stock). I went with the MGW handle (works with the Tri-Ax base) and it allowed me to adjust it back where it belongs.

I would think the shorter handle would make for a shorter throw, hence not having to reach as far up or down to hit the right gear.

Thanks guys. I've been looking for an adjustable shifter handle. I've got the Steeda Tri-Ax, but still have to reach a little to get 5th. Now to find the best price for it....

I'm 6' and the stock throw was way too far....got the MGW handle and telescoped it out all the way....result is a far superior feel....Still not perfect for me but at least I can hit 5th gear with my back still touching the seat!!!

CAUTION!!!...I just had to take the shifter boot off and re-torqe the handle as it started to come loose (had it installed for about 3 months)...so make sure you tighten that handle down real good or perhaps some lock-tite....Rgds...

The steeda handle can be mounted in 4 differnt positions to suit the needs of driver comfort.

I would definitely go with the MGW handle as well. If gives you a lot of adjustment. I've never heard of anyone buying it who didn't like it.

Pro5.0 w/o the short Pro-5.0 handle but w/ the steel bushings allowing the use of the stock steel (w/ good setback) handle. I love it!

Stock shifter + MGW (MGWLTD.COM) handle + knob of your liking is a workable combo.

You'll be surprised how well the stock shifter can function without oodles of insulating rubber.

A few pieces of foam beneath the shifter bezel will keep this arrangement quiet too.
