Bone stock '94 Cobra shortblock, AFR 165 heads, N41 cam, Holley HP 750 DP, Edelbrock Performer RPM Air-Gap, Performance Automatic C4, Spooled 8.8" with 4.10s, 26x10 Hoosier Slicks, Team Z K-Member, Strange Coil Overs, Strange 10-way Shocks / Struts, MM C/C plates

Swapped a 10" PTC converter (flashed to 2800) for a 8" ATI converter (flashes to 4500). Quickest pass to date prior to this change in BETTER air with a tail wind versus today's head wind was 12.14 @ 109 with a 1.73 short time. Cut 8 tenths from my best!

Today: 11.37 @ 117 with a 1.55 short time, backed up by a 11.35 @ 117 with a 1.54 short time!

Haha. Totally N/A. I actually thought about putting a plate on later this season if this 8" converter didn't flash much higher than the 10". I'm already illegal now! (no roll bar)

Yes, just the converter change (and re-jetting the carb slightly) cut 8 tenths and gave 8 MPH. If I hadn't found such a killer deal on the C4 setup, I would have kept the stock T5 in it till it popped. I'll always be curious what kind of numbers it would put up with the 5-speed setup too, but I kept the clutch pedal in the car for a reason!

What air filter are you running to keep that under the stock hood? And what is that under the coil that's belt driven?
