Went with my dad today to pick up his new Camaro. Damn, they are really nice. He loves it, I love it. He let me drive it home part of the way, and I am impressed. Only thing that sucks is I move tomorrow, so I will hardly get to see the car.

Imperial Blue
Automatic
Grey stripes
LOVE the exhaust tone, especially for a stock car
Does 100 EASILY

Very nice! What package did he get 1SS or 2SS?? Manual or Auto??

Auto. He was going to use it as a daily driver and sell his 06 Mustang, but after looking at the miles he's put on his car in just three years (driving back and forth from work) he decided to keep his car, and the Camaro will sit with the Cobra as a weekend car. Instead, he's attempting to sell the '66 to free up garage space since I'll be gone now too.

I don't remember the differences between 1SS and 2SS. He got the OnStar, XM, the "paddle-shift" thingy (which, I might add is VERY fun to toy with. Feels like a video game).

Definitely not a bad looking car, heavy though.

Interestingly enough, it didn't feel super heavy. It turns a lot better than I expected too. Took the off-ramp as fast as my mach did earlier in the day.

I'm sure my dad will enjoy it. I know that every time I walk into the garage and see it, I can't help but smile. MAYBE I'll get lucky and he'll let me auto-cross it one of these times.

You'll feel the weight more on the twisties than on regular town roads. Ford did a better job on the Mustang "hiding" the feel of the weight. I have only seen one Camaro so far around here and have yet to have it grow on me. Just not for me. I'm glad your dad loves it. I hope he has miles of smiles with it.

Probably my favorite color, but I haven't seen good pictures of the Inferno Orange though. Very nice bud!

I've seen a few around here. Can't make up my mind if I like it or not. Probably never will until i get in one.
