So the (svtp) "gay as.s v6 ecoboost sucks blah blah blah" still won even from a roll AND being down all that power? but but it should have a v8!

This thread is going to be epic.

The ZR1 was simply outclassed in every way. The add more HP model isn’t working anymore. Power isn't the problem anymore, it's efficiency in applying it.

Run against the 720S already. He owns both damn cars. That’s the race everyone wants to see anyway.

Calling it now............. With the move to a DCT alone, I bet the new GT500 will AT LEAST run neck and neck with the ZR1 in a straight line. Greater than 50% it's actually faster.

Time for the C8

No, thats true. Was not even close, FGT was embarrassed by the 720.

And was FGT vs ZR1 really that much of a beatdown? It costs 3x and if you popped the wing off the ZR1 it would be pretty close.

FGT won by efficiency which is how the GTR beat so many cars for so long, and how the 720 does it now, but the 720 is also light and has a lot of powrler too. The technology built in and efficiency in putting the power down accounted for a huge difference when you look at the power and weight differences. What's the weight advantage in the FGT? Isn't it only like 200-300lbs on the ZR1?

I watched this again and think the ZR1 did not fare that poorly at all. The roll race was within a length. Ditch that gigantic wing and it would be neck and neck.

Im a fairly big GT nut hugger and I felt the same way, Zr1 launch was horrible and he also didnt get the hit on the roll

Ford needs to quit playing around and drop the state of the art 3.5 eb into the new gt500. Power of a hellcat with the efficiency of a v6.
Win
