Hey everyone, my name is Devin and I live in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul area. I've been lurking on here for about a year, and posting for a few months, so I thought that I'd finally make an introduction. I don't have a ton of free time because I'm a full-time+summer school sophomore psychology student, I own a relatively small business that I'm constantly struggling to manage(time wise), and my girlfriend also happens to live in BFE, but I do spend as much time on here as I can.
I don't have a Mustang right now, but a '99-'04 GT, '05-'09 GT and a newer V6 Mustang are all on my list for a potential next car this summer, depending on how much I'll want to spend. I've spent countless hours lurking in road side pub, smackdown, picture/vid and the for sale forums, and this seems like a relatively low BS, and genuine auto discussion forum. It seems like half of SVTP don't even own Ford products, and that seems to show that it's just a great place to "shoot the shit" in general.
I love every type of car, and I'm sure no matter which route I go, I'll continue to at least lurk on here.
If there are any local members/meets, I always like getting together with other car people, and I've been out of the community for a few years, so I'm trying to work my way back into regular meets. Feel free to pm me. I'm also working on collecting car videos(street, strip and show) for a video database, but I don't like recycling other people's content without permission, so if anyone wants hosting of videos, let me know.
I currently have a 2000 Buick LeSabre. It's not fast or sporty, but it's pretty comfortable, reliable, and it fits my needs well. I've put 40k miles on it since I bought it less than a year ago, and even with 103-4k miles, it continues to be bullet proof and has never left me stranded. I've babied it, and just recently have done suspension bits all around, and completely replaced the rear suspension. I've never run it past 3,000 rpm before the coolant got over 150 degrees, and it's probably the most comfortable car that I've owned. It's not fast, but it has enough torque to put a few car lengths on most n/a 4 cylinders and 6 cylinders before it gets to 50-60.
