They are mandatory overseas.
Yes they are and it's unfortunate really but it's to meet the SVA test requirements, now they put very small orange LED lights on the inside edge of the door mirrors so at least you don't have to drill the wings anymore.
The combined front side light & indicator is a no no as well and a seperate side light has to be made by drilling into the main headlight chrome deflector causing problems with evential corrosion not to mention hacking into the wiring loom, I've not done that with the new set and will take my chances.
We also have to have a rear fog light which is the red thing in the middle of the bumper, that's fine but the problem is that on the Bullitt it had a factory fog light switch under the stereo as you'll know and because it didn't have front fogs then it could be wired to operate the additional rear one but as the Cobras have built in fronts fogs and that switch is for them another totally different looking switch has to be put on the dash somewhere making it look like a dog.
age03-- can you mount the rear fog light switch inside of the center console maybe?? or did the previous owner already mount it somewhere in a ugly spot? Great looking car by the way! :banana:
