Went to the drag strip yesterday and got a new personal best on my first and only pass. Mods are off road h-pipe with lund tune and 18 inch hoosier drag radials and all nannies turned off.

Awesome pass, congrats!

Something was up with that Camaro though. Back in the day my 98 SS trapped about 110 MPH stock in the low 13's. Yet, this one went low 12's and didn't trap much better...yet I'm sure it's got other mods than the slicks.

Thanks a lot! I have no idea about the camaro I didn't talk to the driver.

The chebbie driver is good or his adrenaline was up due to the Shelby being next to him.
I was wondering why he got out on you, but the r/t shows it. Great run. Looks like you know how to drive it and that was without L/C.

Nice run, congrats on your new best!

Is your tune just to allow the H-pipe, or did you have it tweak your power a bit too?

Very nice pass! I see you shifted to 4th at the end because the 18's throw off the gearing. The Hpipe and tune really help open her a bit, It didnt look like you bogged much off the line.

what hoosiers are you using and also what were you shifting at?

Thanks for the replies everyone. The tune is to allow the h-pipe and add some power, but I doubt it's very much. I am going to try and get it back on a dyno and see what it makes soon. Here's the tire I am using, very impressed with it so far but need more power to utilize the shift into fourth gear.

GREAT FIRST RUN!! No bog was probably due to no nannies!

What did you have to mod to get those wheels/tires to fit the rear? OEM fronts?

A tune alone can net you 30-40 whp. What wheels are you using with those tires? width?

Theres no way a tune alone with this car is gaining 30-40whp, I'm thinking maybe 10-15 tops. Hopefully within the next week or two I'll get it back on the dyno and find out for sure.

Here's a picture of the wheels. I bought them from american muscle and they're 18x10. No modifications have been made to run these wheels and tires.

Thanks a lot! The problem is since I have different wheels on the rear I'm not considered "stock" so anything under 11.5 I run the risk of them giving me the boot. I imagine going on a Saturday I wouldn't get overlooked like I did on street night. The guy even warned me during tech inspection about going under 11.5, but luckily nobody caught it.

I am just saying. I picked up 50ish whp with an intake and tune only.

Thanx for the info on the wheels!
