...hit me new PB yesterday at Muscle Car Evolution. This is only the second time I have ever been to a track and ran the truck.

First race I didn't really know how the track was going to hook, since it was very early and not that many people have been down the 1/4, so I really slugged my way through the 60' on my street tires at full air pressure.

R/T .349
60' 2.323
330 5.97
1/8 8.895
MPH 84.10
1000 11.427
1/4 13.575
MPH 104.90

After realizing that the track prep is very good...I figured I would get into a little more. (still with full air pressure on street tires)

R/T .269
60' 2.074
330 5.617
1/8 8.50
MPH 84.68
1000 11.01
1/4 13.14
MPH 105.79

Now lets try dropping the tire pressure down to 23 PSI.....

R/T .170
60' 1.902
330 5.420
1/8 8.315
MPH 84.62
1000 10.83
1/4 12.97
MPH 105.24

And for the last run...

R/T .198
60' 1.94
330 5.44
1/8 8.325
MPH 84.67
1000 10.83
1/4 12.96
MPH 105.67

If anyone has any videos of the event from Saturday...post them up. I would like to see if you got any of the lightnings that were eating the SRT10's times alive!

Great runs. I think I am shooting for the 12 sec club this year, come march when the track starts test and tune back up. My mph is there, I just have to ease out of the whole due to track prep issues and I usually race with full air pressure. Next time out I will lower the pressures to see if that helps.

You could be in the 12's very easily with your MPH. Drop your tire pressure down to about 20 or so and see what happens. You'll be very happy!

now put some damn DR's on it!!!!!!

I'm hoping to have my plenum and blower ported and running some slicks by next year for track season. Hopefully then I'll be ablt to get in the lower 12's.

The bad thing about it was that I left my flasher at home....so I couldnt bump my timing or anything. :bash:

2009 New Years resolution:

11's with a heaton and stock block!
