what hotels are in that area... walking distance to the race?

The Sheraton is right on the waterfront, and I believe the Weston is actually going to be built right where the starting line is. Aside from those two, there's a few in Hoboken, Secaucus and Jersey City ( nice area of JC) I'm sure they'll have shuttles to and from.

FYI for anyone planning to drive down that weekend, the state and town are going to be pushing for ppl to use mass transit. Unless you're staying at a hotel or at a friend's house in town, don't plan on driving down. This area is the Densest area in the US so you can imagine how bad parking is already.

You are not kidding. One of the reasons I moved out of that crap hole. Takes 30 mins to drive 3 miles. :nonono:
