Just got my one of a kind HPP "Monster" KB Inlet Plenum. I have a KB 2.8H @28lbs. This is a two piece powder coated inlet plenum and a Ford GT throttle body and a 6" aluminum inlet tube w/ a 12" filter. Well see how much h/p this bad boy picks up on the dyno next week.

Your current flow restriction has now moved to the filter element.
Bring a 12" or 14" non tapered filter to the dyno for a back to back comparo.
Also do a pull with no filter at all for a baseline.
Make sure you sheild the inlet to protect it from fan wash, it freaks out the MAF and PCM.

That 10" is not capable of the CFMs that combo is going to "ask for" at 28psi.

Watch the psi AND POWER rise without changing pulleys just from the filter changes.

Not bashing, just trying to give a heads up.:thumbsup:

Good luck with it! Nice set up!

That is a monster all right. The numbers you get should be interesting.

I did a 2.8-H car in Florida that did over 730 with the standard inlet.

My own car made 717 rwhp through a power robbing 4R70-W automatic . That inlet and setup should really shine! When I was tuning my old car and the other 2.8-H car that inlet was clearly making the power sign off early...it simply leveled out. Going to be nice to see your results! Best of luck! Hermann:burnout:

how much more does this flow over the mammoth offered by kenne bell?

I dunno, it was never put on a flow stand. It can't be much more and it can't be much less. I don't think you can buy the mamouth inlet by itself and I ain't buying another KB for $5800 to get a mamouth kit. You can contact HPP in Tx. they are the ones who made it. There is only one right now, but they have a jig for it and can make another one. But for 3K i don't think its worth it.

One big difference is this is a Passenger side inlet, NOT driverside. Nothing to really relocate except from my CPR fuel crossover tube and my fuel lines and maybe a couple vacuum lines... Nothing major.

Is your battery already relocated?
