For your application... I just don't think you would be happy with anything other than a drag radial in the rear. My old cobra put down 466 rwhp and when my 555R's were brand new, they would stick and go. But at 615 rwhp, you may still spin them. Like someone else said, you may have to run some M/T ET street drag radials if you want no wheel spin from a dig. 315/35-17's are a good size for your rears.

Any of the NT05's, NT555R's or NT555RII will be fine up front and all about the same... just whichever tire you tend to favor on there really.

Yeh i knew a few people that autocrossed with that setup and did good.

Whats your thoughts on the NT555R and NT555RII in rear?

I can get the NT555R,NT555RII and NT05R in 315/35/17. Whats your thoughts on them if all are same size.
My front are 275/40/17. Should i keep my rears 35 or maybe go up to 40?

What ever tire you buy just make sure they are DR's. That way when it rains and you hydroplane into a guardrail and total your car you can warn everyone how you regretted buying DR's and have learned a lesson the hard way :nonono: That may save others from going down the same path.

Well im not going to drive car in the car. However if i go on car events how will i get home if its raining?

So what are we talking difference in NT555R and NT555RII?

Also how do regular NT05s play into the mix?

Rain? NT05, NO "R" compound. That or GS-D3's, the NT05 have better dry traction, GS-D3's have better wet traction.

Whats all negatives of 0 rated tire?

softer material that will wear out very quick and usually 0 rated tires are not good in any type of rain. thats no problem if you own a garage queen like me, but if you like to daily the car or take road trips, it's a concern. i would not want to get caught in a downpour with these toyo dr's i'm running today.

what would be cool is if nitto would make the 200 tread rated 18" NT05 in a wider size than current 295/35. A 315/30 or 315/35 nt05 would be awesome. That tire is the best compromise between dry and wet traction on the market today (imo), especially for the price

Now im down to the NT05R,NT555R and NT555RII,what some comments on these.

1st hand experience, I have had my Nitto 555R's 315 35 R17's mounted on 10.5" cobra replica wheels for 1 week and in order for me to make them spin, I have to pop the clutch, which I don't normally do. They are really awesome. I am running around 490hp 510TQ
I highly recommend them, I am a daily driver, and they are actually more quiet then the stock goodyears (which are smaller)!

these are the tires that the r888's were to replace. But toyo is still making these. I think its because guys that go road racing on the regular prefer these but who really knows.
