The stupidity that unfurled in the comments over chicken bones is deafening. The truth is that dogs that only eat processed dog food their whole lives never learn to actually eat. Also, anyone who says only cooked bones are sharp and brittle has never gone out, killed something, drug it home, and cooked it

That's all we feed our dog, raw meat and vegetables. Bones are ground, but hey...whatever.

There is a big difference between giving a dog raw meat / poultry and taking some rotisserie chicken from the market and feeding ol’ Fiddo.

Dogs deal perfectly with raw bones, but when bones are cooked (specially chickin’s), it makes it a TON more likely to splinter off in such a way that it can cause injury to a dog (however minor it may be).
