my cowl hood is 21 lbs and its fiberglass, i couldnt dish out another 500+ just for 7 lbs

Does anyone know if they make any other carbon fiber style hoods for our cars? I would like to get an 00 cobra R style cowl...that way I don't have to worry about painting it and I get to save weight as well!

My crap doesn't fit under my stock hood anymore..

I can have someone paint a hood for stupid cheap...but you are correct...that is a plus that I wouldn't have to worry about it, especially on my black car.

I also would have to invest in some hood pins for that though.

I think it looks badass, if it was a 'functional' sorta deal. If your car was more of a race car with other weight reduction mods..

My friend has a mach 1 with a carbon fiber hood and trunk lid and you won't catch me or anyone making fun of his car or calling it 'rice'

car weighs in at 2950lbs.
