Are your rear O2's turned off? If so the P1000 code won't ever clear. Plus if the Evap is throwing a code it's probably not allowing the ECU to complete the tests. Have you checked the hoses on top of the tank?

Ive had this code.

On mine it was the main vacuum hose was connected after throttle body.

Moved hose to before and code went away

Where did you move it to?

Ford had just replaced the drivers head..I got car back from them with code.

I had taken it back and they were clueless and really didnt care..

I tried every thing while trying to understand system. .

I had posted a pic of my engine in a different thread. .

Another member had said the vacuum hoses were routed wrong..

ford had evap hose to air inlet before tb..and main vacuum hose behind tb on elbow.

We reversed it and code went away

There is a hose that goes from the blower into the passenger side fender where all the evap stuff is. You can access it by takin out the wheel liner. That hose is known to deteriorate. I'd check it all the way to the fender.

Mine was crumbling to pieces. I replaced it when I ran new fuel lines for my return setup.
