Painting Supercharger belt

i have a gates belt, maybe about 1 month since I bought it, it was green lol but I had a bad pulley which was grooved so at any WOT it would legit burn the belt. So now I have a damn near silver an black belt. My question is, has anyone painted their belt before? I know it’ll probably be discolored with time, but I hate the nasty ass color it has. An I don’t want to buy a new one. Thanks alot

Ain’t nothing cheap about me, TRUST ME. I was just wondering, I just don’t want to buy another belt 2 months after buying this one. Just wondering if I can paint it.

You can but you have to paint it while on the car running otherwise it won't hold

I would buy a different belt. The green belts are a "long life" belt and have less grip.

I think I paid $25 for a OEM Motorcraft belt. Sounds a heck of lot easier to replace it than screw around painting it.

You guys are off the hook, I tried painting my belt how you said, didn’t work, got paint all over my engine bay and car, don’t try it, had my wife do the painting while I held it wide open throttle, now I’m getting divorced, thanks guys
