I'd consider the "original" piece, direct from Shelby.

One could argue that the PHRP is better because it uses 304 stainless as opposed to the 409 stainless that Shelby used. Beyond that, its a wash. I've held both in my hands and both are good pieces, so to me it comes down to price.

Here's a bit more on both...

I would suggest having it welded in as my clamps failed at the track once dragging the midpipe under me through the 1/4

I don't know Tob, that Shelby piece looks like it was thrown together from spare parts. IMO I'd go for the extra $$ and get the PHRP. Personal preference I guess..

What is the difference between this shelby kr h-pipe and the H pipe that was included as OE on the 2011 Shelby's.

It can make the car louder but will change the pitch of the exhaust and give it a bigger displacement sound. I also hear a pulsing sound coming from the H under the car which is magnified as the air flow increases.

How was the H-pipe installed on the original factory cars, clamped or welded?

If you are asking what Shelby employees did to regular GT500 cars when they converted them to GT500KR's in Las Vegas...they cut the x-pipe out and clamped in their H-pipe, just as PHRP has done their pipe. Welding the pipe in really wasn't that difficult to do.

Thank you. That is exactly what I wanted to know.
