First pic is when I picked it up. Second pic is after I added tint, 18x10 and 18x9 fr500's, and took off the rear spoiler and Mach 1 chin spoiler. Also took off the x pipe and slp lm catback and replaced it with an off road h pipe and flowmaster catback. What can i say, im an h pipe/flows kinda guy. Feels good to be back! I don't even want to think about how much money I'm gonna blow on this thing the rest of this year.

Nah, I don't like the lowered look. Previous owner showed me receipts for 2" lowering springs along with other crap for handling. I haven't taken a look at the suspension yet. I jacked up the front left of the car and the whole damn thing raised up. That will change, I'm more of a soft spring/weight transfer guy. I will say its the best handling mustang I've ever owned. Kind of fun for now but like I said that will change.

Nice looking Cobra. IMO if you painted the polished lip black it would look 100 times better. Either way nice car!

Yeah man it looked good stock too. I've had quite a few new edges, I always take the spoilers off. The stock wheels were nice as well but needed tires. The fr500's were a Craigslist pickup, got them with tires for the same price as buying tires for the stock wheels so I figured what the heck I'd give it a shot. I'm surprised most people here don't like the fr500's. All my car/drag racing buddies around here think it looks great. I came across the pic below while searching and thought it looked pretty good.

Why would you want that to change. A rigid structure doesnt mean you can have a soft ride or weight transfer. Why do you think all the drag race guys put in sub frame connectors so fast? Most likely your car has subframe connectors since the entire car raised up, that will allow your suspension to work better like it should instead of letting the car twist and take the shock.

I agree. I have no idea why someone would want to remove handling improvements...

Anyways, nice cobra. Looks a lot like my 01 did.

Talked to previous owner today. Few of you suggested lowering springs but the car already has Eibach Pro Kit lowering springs installed. Also has Tokico HP series front/rear struts/shocks plus Eibach front/rear sway bars. I was under it today and confirmed it has all this.

Here it was before the lowering springs installed:

And here it was the day I picked it up:

I can tell a pretty big difference amongst those pics. The mach 1 chin spoiler is no longer 2 feet off the ground lol.

And a pic from yesterday. 1" hubcentric spacers and black lugs came in so I tossed them on. The rear looked ridiculously bad without the spacers. Also put the spoiler back on since I'm not convinced I'm going spoilerless this time around so I cancelled my appt with the body shop to fill the holes and paint.

OK, enough with the bs anyways, time to start hoarding go fast parts.

That's a good looking Cobra and I like the new wheels a lot better. I can see where the car is slightly lowered, but if it was mine I'd want more drop. I understand that is not what YOU want so it's all good. Enjoy it! :)
