Here are some pics of the inboard and outboard stub ends of my DSS enhanced half-shafts after 126 1/4 mile passes of which approximately 100 were on DRs. My best 60' time has been 1.695 and most of my 60's for this season have been in the mid 1.7's. I've been spraying a 75hp (and a 100hp once) shot for the last 30 or so runs.

Here they are:

The splines are showing a little wear but no perceptible twist or cracking. All in all, I'm happy for what they are. On the down side, the bearing on one of my rear hubs is cooked. The hub wobbles like crazy.

mjchip, You and I have similiar pwr numbers. I guess you like those axle's . I know they are from the drive-shaft shop but do they have hardenend ends. I'am thinking about getting them so I can step up to a slick. My pwr number's are 565hp and 705tq with my setup.

They look great considering the huge torque you are making.

Do you still have the stock half shafts.

Actually, the entire transmission is out and disassembled waiting for parts. The input shaft was perfect but I'm upgrading anyway since I have the trans broken down.

Mike,

The end shafts are the original OEM parts just treated by DSS when they installed their 300M center bars.

I am Impressed..I just had my DSS half Shafts installed @ Mustang Magic.
DSS claims no known failures on 45+ sets sold so far..

DSS is working on an even stronger setup..

Dang, those look good!! Real test will be with some 10" wide ET Streets at 12 psi, however. Then you can really shock them.

...aren't you glad it exploded on your workbench rather than at the track!

;-) :p
