See its happening to everyone. Anytime you park your nice clean car to take pictures near a roof you get wierd reflections and shadows. Its bugging the crap outta me. Anyone else seeing this? Nice Mach buddy.

Spartacus - you have taken some of the first steps toward being an amateur photographer - when you start noticing shadows/reflections/backgrounds and how light is hitting the subject, you are making real progress. Some good pix, guys, keep them coming - haven't made the decision yet.

Do you have that pic in higher resolution, possibly uncropped? That is a sick pic, angle is beautiful, lighting is perfect (especially for a black car). Not the angle I was looking for, but I like to keep my options open.

For you aspiring photographers out there, look at this pic carefully:
1. Notice how the scoop really stands out, yet isn't pure white on the side?
2. Nothing on the car is so black you can't see the detail
3. You can see inside the scoop a little way
4. No overexposed (blown out with reflection/light/white) areas
5. Nothing underexposed, you can see detail in all the black surfaces
6. Background sucks, but it was shot in a garage so you get what you get
7. Very nice and interesting angle, really shows off the scoop

Well done! Others in here are well done as well, but I wanted to mention this one simply because black is such a hard color to shoot well.

I am by no means a photographer...I knew my pics weren't what you are looking for. I have experience in graphic design, so I have a feel for what you want. As soon as I saw that pic of the black mach...I thought, there it is. It may not be the angle..but it is a GREAT shot. The bad part????.....COBRA JET EMBLEMS!! :bash::lol:
