It's a little ways out, but I'm starting to plan my post-bar trip. That said, I need some ideas.

Criteria/Considerations:
- Timeline will be 1-2 weeks
- We really want a beach. Relaxation is key
- Want to be able to have some fun (e.g., snorkeling or other day-trips)
- We will have a 4 year old and a 1.5 year old with us
- Total budget is ~$8000

I thought about taking a cruise, so that's definitely an option. I also thought we could go to the Bahamas, rent a boat, and just travel around the interior there. I'm totally open to ideas though.

Not even sure if this is a true option...what about taking a cruise to an all-inclusive resort and cruise back?

Put it towards your law school debt. If you don't have debt, put it towards a house down payment. If you own a house, put it into a 529 for the kids or a roth for yourself. You're welcome.

Solid logic.

Humble-bag thread title of the year. You probably deserve a get away though. We're going to Bahamas for a week at the end of the month I think. Wife set it up and added some excursions that she wanted to do. All inclusive I think we're in it for 6k? I'll report back with reviews.

My girlfriend and I really enjoy Aruba. We've gone 2 years in a row.

Thanks for the tips, guys. I've been to Aruba once when I was younger, but hadn't yet considered it for this trip.

Just google bvi yacht charters.

I'm planning one now for 4 couples. lol

That looks amazing! I haven't sailed in years, but I would love to pick it up again. Looks like you can even book a captain, too.

There are power boat charters there as well.

This was going to be my suggestion also, my wife and I have been a couple times and planning another trip for February.

Fiji is high on our bucket list though...

On mine as well. At the very top of the list. A nice thatch roof bungalow over the crystal clear blue water.
