I know its not as worthy as some of the houses posted on here. But I think my wife and I did real good for our first house considering we are both teachers in Maryland. We found an amazing deal as a result of a buyers market right now and had to act on it. We still have some things to do before we move in since it has been sitting since June but its in good shape. I really appriciate selling my Cobra now, it defenitely helped us out. There will be a mustang in the detached garage soon enough though:beer:. Feel free to post up your first house!!

Pics only of the exterior, formal sitting room, and kitchen (I dont want to make anyone too bored lol)

Had it built in 07, closed and moved everything in the day before Thanksgiving by myself (wife was pregnant). Hard to believe it's been almost 3 years now.

Flower beds after I redid them, and put some pink crate myrtles down.

Can't find pictures of the master, bonus room.

Anyways, it's always a great feeling walking into your own house. I felt very accomplished as a 27yr old. My wife was only 23.

Congrats, and a great first home, but I have to ask... how the heck do you enter the driveway?:??: It looks like it should enter from the rear of the house, but there is a parking lot, with curbs right in front of the entrance. Am I missing something?

Ah good question and the pictures kind of hide it. There is an alley back there, only thing i really dont like i have to weave through alleys to get out of my house lol. o well.

Actually the mulch is now relaid and I have to get new pics with the bench. You did a good job. I think you should help me build a fire pit in the back yard tonight. Beers and bonfires, what is better in the cold weather

Makes me sick what ya'll are able to get for the money. I live in Chesapeake, VA and paid $260k almost 4 years ago for a single story ranch, ~1700 SF (not including FROG), single car garage, built in '72. We've put about $40k into it (windows, hardwood floors, new kitchen, new guest bathroom, paint, etc.) since we bought it and are proud of the upgrades, just no pics on my work comp. In the process of refinancing for a lower interest rate, just hoping the house has at minimum held it's value since 2007 so we can proceed.

The money I saved on building in Central VA I pay for in my commute (Alexandria).
